Steven Weinstein

I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy department at the University of Waterloo, with a cross-appointment to the Physics department. I am also an Affiliate of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo. My research is primarily in the foundations of physics, with special interest in understanding quantum mechanics.

My other philosophical interests include the philosophy of mind, epistemology, the realism/anti-realism debate, and the possibility of fundamental limits on knowledge of the physical world, akin to the limits on mathematical knowledge demonstrated by Gödel's Incompleteness Theorems.
