Investigating the Effectiveness of Drama as a Learning Methodology and Means of Engaging Students in the School of Pharmacy is a project to extend the methods of instruction in a second-year, integrated therapeutics course at Waterloo's School of Pharmacy. In year 1, students delivered class presentations using PowerPoint; in year 2, they used short skits. Although achievement in presentations and examinations improved significantly in year 2, students reported decreased engagement related to a lack of confidence in their own and other students' abilities to create 'dramas'.
