The Legal Studies Four-Year Honours and General Major are open to all students registered in Honours or General Arts.
Normally you would choose a major at the end of first year when you pre-register for second year. Whichever program you choose, we advise you to see the academic advisor about your choice of courses.
If you're still in high school or you're a mature student, and want to know how to apply to the University of Waterloo, you'll find step-by-step directions on our web site for prospective students.
The Legal Studies and Criminology Option is open to all University of Waterloo students and may be taken in conjunction with an honours or general degree.
You would normally choose the option in 1st year, when you preregister
for 2nd year. It is also possible to select the option later, but satisfying
all the requirements before you graduate can be a challenge.
