3:00-4:00 Swimming at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Activities will be organized for non-swimmer.
4:15-5:00 Pick-up at the Swimplex.

* Please note that classes are generally held indoors with occassional outdoor portions. Lunch, break, snacks, and free-to are outdoors, weather permitting.

*Campers are divided into four groups of approximately 25 according to age, with the youngest campers in group 1 and oldest in group 4. Group assignments will be handed out on registration day.

Free-To

In the afternoon, campers will take part in a variety of activities during the free-to part of our program. During the two weeks, they might do crafts, participate in co-operative games, play sports, or visit on-campus museums.
Note: Weather permitting, most free-to activities will take place outside.

Swimming

Swimming takes place at the Swimplex, in the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex on Father David Bauer Drive.  We have a daily swim from 3:00-4:00.  Campers who do not wish to swim will be supervised in the upper viewing area of the pool and will be provided with play materials.  At the end of the swim period, your children will gather on the stairs at the back entrance to the complex.  Parking will be available for you while you sign your children out.

Family Night

On the second Thursday of the session, you are invited to our Family Night from 6:45 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. This is an opportunity for family and friends to come and see what the campers have been doing at ACE. An open house including a self-guided tour of the ACE classrooms, then on to a special performance in the Theatre of the Arts featuring all the campers and what they have been working on at ACE. Parking is available in Lot H with a $3.00 entry fee, and more information will follow. Please keep this evening free!

Theme Day

On the last Friday of the two week session, children will take part in our exciting Theme Day. On this day there will be no classes, although we will still go swimming. This day is devoted to fun-filled games and activities relating to our theme. Note: We will be having a hot dog barbecue on Theme Day. The children will not need to bring a lunch that day unless they cannot or do not wish to eat hot dogs and veggie hot dogs, or if they would like to eat more than two hot dogs. We also have juice and freezies that day. If your child cannot have juice or a freezie because of food colouring or sugar, please let us know. They will still need their two snacks and drinks for the day.
